The Taj Sawai Madhopur Lodge is located in 12 acres of spacious gardens. It was built in 1930 by Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II of Jaipur as a lodge for his hunts in Ranthambore which at that time was the hunting preserve of the Royal family of Jaipur. This 75 year old hunting lodge has a lot of history. It is one km from the station and a 20 minute drive from Ranthambore National Park.

The room has almost 400 Sq feet of area with a large bed, a small seating area and stylish bathroom with granite flooring , spacious accommodation offering modern day living comfort. These rooms have a predominantly contemporary character with hues of traditional style.


Junior Suites with Private sitout
Newly renovated Suites with a living room, spacious bathroom with bath tub and a shower cubicle. The bedroom opens into a private courtyard. These suites are in an exclusive block at the hotel.

Deluxe Suite
Rich in history, these spacious rooms are part of the original 1930-1935 accommodation, used by the Maharaja of Jaipur and his personal guests. In fact, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip once stayed in these suites on their visit to Sawai Madhopur. These rooms come with a private terrace overlooking the Front Lawns.

Dining is both Indian and Continental, and is either in the Dining Hall, or in the Neem Terrace which is an open-air terrace.

Recreation at Sawai Madhopur Lodge Hotel :
For recreation there is wildlife slide show, nature talk, badminton, croquet, tennis, pool table, jogging, bicycles, and body massage. Visits can also be organized to Devpura for seeing Black Bucks, and to Mansarover and Soorwal for bird watching.
